  • Tree Care

Please follow the steps below to maintain a healthy Christmas tree that will last through the New Year. The most important tips that I can't emphasize enough is DO NOT place it within 6 feet of a heater vent. WATER IT EVERY DAY!

Please read the tip below for more detailed tree care.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS FOR A HEALTHY TREE

  • Make a fresh cut: Saw off about 0.5 to 1 inch from the base of the trunk before putting it in water to reopen the pores.
  • Mount immediately: Place the tree in water within 2 hours of cutting, otherwise a layer of resin will seal the base.

Watering & Moisture

  • Keep it filled: Check the water level daily; the base of the trunk must always be completely submerged.
  • Provide enough water: A typical tree needs about 1 quart of water per inch of trunk diameter every day.
  • Use plain water: Avoid adding sugar, aspirin, or commercial preservatives, as clean tap water is best.

Placement & Safety

  • Avoid heat sources: Position the tree far away from fireplaces, radiators, vents, and direct sunlight to prevent early drying.
  • Check the lights: Use low-heat LED lights and inspect cords for fraying to eliminate fire hazards.
  • Turn it off: Unplug the tree lights every time you leave the house or go to sleep.
